Founded to serve Tacoma’s city employees, TAPCO eventually expanded its reach to include anyone in Washington State, but they kept their focus right here. With our roots in Tacoma too, we leapt at the opportunity to rebrand this Tacoma institution.
What was our mandate? To breathe new life into TAPCO’s look, feel, and tone — while honoring its eight-decade history.
Internal roll out
After hundreds of hours of market research, development, and collaboration with the board, executives, employees, and marketing team, we helped TAPCO introduce the centerpieces of our creative efforts to their staff: a new logo, tagline, and video.
By involving stakeholders at every phase in the process, we helped TAPCO generate a new energy and enthusiasm that translates into interactions with members everyday.
From there, we brought the new brand into their physical and digital spaces, refreshing branch locations with signage and environmental graphics, creating unique billboards, updating print and apparel pieces, and overseeing an update to their website and app.
The video we created also went from an internal point of pride to a piece viewed by thousands as a local TV ad and social media post. Garnering over 5,300 views on Facebook, the video drove more engagement on their Facebook page than any previous post. The success of the rebrand cemented an exciting, on-going working relationship with TAPCO.
